Summer 2010 sees the launch of RAC Drive-in Movies – a series of fantastic outdoor movie events featuring a selection of box office smashes and iconic films.
We’ve picked three all-time favourite films – Dirty Dancing, Transformers and The Italian Job (1969) – so whether romance, action or adventure are your thing – there’s something for everyone to enjoy. And as you’d expect from the driving people, the films are packed with plenty of thrilling car scenes, from the iconic car chase in the Italian Job, to Patrick Swayze’s 1957 Chevy in Dirty Dancing, to the many robot vehicles of Transformers.
RAC Drive-in Movies will be held at two stunning locations: Weston Park near Birmingham (5th to 7th August) and Alexandra Palace in London (12th to 14th August).
Open to RAC Members and non-members, one ticket permits one car, and includes two free portions of popcorn and two free drinks per car.
RAC Members get special perks with a 50% discount on tickets, plus £20 worth of food vouchers. And if you’re still peckish, you can buy more food from stalls at the events!
